The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1921A is a remanufactured axle assembly, specifically engineered for Chrysler 8.25-inch ring gear setups. This unit features a 3.90 gear ratio and a 5-lug axle configuration, identified by its 10-bolt round cover. It is designed without Posi-Traction and is sold without hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts, focusing on the core differential assembly. All axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications, and housings undergo rigorous testing for surface wear and cracks. A comprehensive 100% inspection of all internal components, including ring and pinion gears, internal gears, and clutches, is performed. Critical wear items such as bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. Furthermore, housings are meticulously cleaned using a state-of-the-art hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore them to an OEM finish, with correct rolling torque established for precision setup and longevity. This specific axle assembly is noted for its application in 1998-1999 Van 1500 and 2500 models.
