The Ford Performance axle housing, part number NL3Z3010D, is a direct replacement for the front differential housing. This component is crucial for containing the gears, pinions, and differential case within your vehicle's drivetrain. This axle housing is compatible with a range of Ford F-150 models from 2017-2021, including those with the 3.0L V6 diesel engine and 4WD. It also fits the 2017 Ford Expedition, and Expedition EL models with the 3.5L V6 gas engine. Specific F-150 trims include King Ranch, Lariat, Limited, Platinum, Raptor, SSV, XL, and XLT. For Expedition and Navigator models, it is noted for use with 4WD and specific axle ratios like 4.10 or 3.55, as well as the 3.0L engine. Some models require specific drive ratios and engine configurations for proper fitment. It is important to note that part NL3Z3010D replaces previous Ford part numbers BL3Z3010B, CL3Z3010B, and NL3Z3010B. The installation notes specify that some related components, such as inner and outer bolts and nuts, cannot be reused and will require separate replacement.
