These larger teeth are also more resistant to breakage caused by sudden shock-loading or catastrophic axle failure, making it a reliable component for serious driving. The specifications for this locker include an 8620 internal material for increased strength and a 40-spline count. It is designed for GM 10.5-inch 14-bolt rear differentials and is compatible with 4.10-down gear ratios. Notably, this unit does not utilize factory thrust washers. All units are assembled in the USA, highlighting a commitment to quality manufacturing. Note that 40 spline aftermarket shafts are required, and custom installation may be necessary.
