Differential Mount Kit

The Garagistic transmission mount is a polyurethane bushing crafted for an OEM+ feel, providing a subtle yet effective upgrade for street cars. Designed as a happy medium between comfort and performance, these bushings are suitable for both daily drivers and track-focused BMWs. The price includes a pair of mounts, and the kit comes with all necessary components for installation on a single vehicle. Constructed with 80a durometer polyurethane, these mounts offer enhanced responsiveness, longer life than traditional rubber OEM mounts, and resistance to oil, water, and solvents. The mounts utilize a bolt-through design with 10.9-grade hardware featuring a nylon insert to prevent self-loosening. It is highly recommended to pair these polyurethane transmission bushings with polyurethane motor mounts to prevent transmission ear failure and reduce stress on the drivetrain. The installation process involves safely jacking up the vehicle, supporting the transmission with a jack, and removing the bottom nuts. The recommended torque specification is 9-12 ft/lbs plus blue Loctite, with a note to back off the nut .5 to 1 rotation after slight deformation of the bushing to avoid excessive vibration and harshness. These transmission mounts are compatible with a wide range of BMW models including E30, E36, E28, E46, E90, E92, E21, E34, E39, and Z3. However, they are explicitly NOT COMPATIBLE WITH the E30 M3 model and the E9X M3 (V8) models.
