Overview

This plate doubles the mounting points at the rear of the differential, which helps to evenly distribute loading forces. It is precision machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and anodized for corrosion resistance and durability.

Differential bushing failure can occur in high-horsepower or track-driven M2, M3, and M4 models, and even in stock street cars after 30,000 miles. Early models (prior to 07/2018) used a hydraulic bushing prone to cracking and fluid loss, leading to excessive slop and noise. The Turner Motorsport Dual-Mount Differential Plate addresses this by allowing for a second rear-position differential bushing, distributing load across two points instead of one. This upgrade not only prevents bushing failure but also provides a crisper driving experience by reducing unwanted differential deflection and the tendency for wheel hop. The plate is engineered to withstand extreme driveline loading conditions and is precision machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum with a type II anodized finish in Turner Blue for superior corrosion resistance and durability. Installation involves placing the second bushing in the subframe (which has a pre-existing location) and replacing the existing single-bushing bracket on the rear of the differential with the Dual-Mount bracket. Differential removal is required for this installation. Upgrading to polyurethane differential bushings is recommended, and installation hardware is included. This item fits the following BMWs: 2015+ F87 M2, 2015+ F80 M3 (Sedan), and 2015+ F82/F83 M4 (Coupe, Convertible).
