The USA Standard Gear Spartan Locker is a mechanical "lunchbox" locker engineered to provide reliable, 100% lockup traction at a competitive price point. This locker replaces the spiders within a standard carrier case, featuring a revolutionary spring and pin design that simplifies installation. Its couplers and drivers are forged from robust 9310 steel for enhanced strength and longevity. The Spartan Locker is compatible with AMC Model 35 differentials featuring 27 spline axles and a 1.625-inch (or 1.620-inch) carrier bore. It is backed by a one-year warranty against defects. This locker is specifically designed for Jeep Wrangler models from 1987-2006, including the YJ and TJ generations. While it enhances off-road capability, it's important to note that mechanical lockers like the Spartan Locker can introduce noise during operation, particularly when disengaged on pavement. Proper installation is crucial to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
