The EXCEL from Richmond 3.08 Rear Ring and Pinion Gear Kit is a better than OEM replacement part for your truck that will give you better gas mileage. Excel from Richmond only uses first run steel for their gear sets, meaning there is no recycled steel in their casting process that could potentially bring along contaminants that in turn would weaken the metal and thus the gear set. The 8620 steel is then heat tempered and monitored by computers ensuring the tempering process is exact. The gears are then precision milled and lapped for a perfect fit and smooth, quiet operation.
