Digital 6-Plus Ignition Control Box

The MSD Digital 6-Plus Ignition Control Box is a high-performance ignition system engineered for street and strip vehicles. It delivers a powerful spark with 135 millijoules of energy and 535 primary volts, capable of supporting engines up to 12,500 RPM. This unit is designed for versatility, accepting points, amplifier, and magnetic pickup trigger inputs, and is compatible with 4, 6, or 8-cylinder engines. At its core, the Digital 6 Plus utilizes a high-speed RISC microcontroller to precisely manage ignition output. This advanced control system constantly analyzes vital inputs such as supply voltage, trigger signals, and engine RPM, making rapid adjustments to output voltage, multiple spark series, timing, and RPM limits. The result is highly accurate timing, within 1° of accuracy and 1% of the set RPM limits, ensuring consistent performance. Key features include an LED display that warns of trigger signal problems or issues with the charging system. The ignition box offers a programmable two-stage rev limiter with adjustments made in 100 RPM increments via rotary switches. Additionally, it incorporates a start retard to ease starting pressure on the engine components and a single-stage retard control for optimizing nitrous activation or top-end power. The MSD Digital 6-Plus Ignition Control Box is built with protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) through debounced and isolated circuits. It operates on a 12-18 volt system with negative ground and comes with a manufacturer's limited 1-year warranty. Mounting hardware is included for its surface mount design.
