The Diode Dynamics SS5 Bumper LED Pod Light Kit (DD7332) for the 2021-2022 Ford F-150 allows for the installation of two SS5 LED pods onto the factory bumper. The kit includes application-specific, CAD-designed heavy-duty steel brackets that bolt into existing factory mounting points, requiring no modification to the vehicle.

The SS5 LED pods feature ultra-high intensity output with custom-engineered Total Internal Reflection (TIR) optics. They offer selectable backlight colors with eight options for added styling or visibility when the main beam is not in use. Users can switch backlight colors by simply cycling power. The pods provide functional output with advanced optical simulation modeling, resulting in highly efficient beam patterns.

Available beam patterns include:
* **Combo:** Combines Driving and Flood optics for all-around use, providing a focused 30x20 degree Driving beam for distance and filling surrounding areas with a 70x30 degree pattern.
* **Driving:** Designed for general illumination at speed, with a 30x20 degree spread to illuminate the road ahead without excessive foreground light.

The kit is available in two color temperatures:
* **Cool White (6000K):** Matches most factory LED lighting.
* **Selective Yellow (3000K):** Ideal for high contrast in adverse weather conditions or a distinctive look. (Note: Yellow kits are only available with an Amber backlight due to the yellow lens.)

The SS5 pods come in two power levels:
* **Sport:** Uses nine high-intensity LEDs for 40W of total power.
* **Pro:** Doubles the total power to 90W.

The product boasts proven reliability, having undergone extensive testing from -40 to 185 degrees F for long-term operation, along with vibration, moisture intrusion, and corrosion testing to SAE standards. Diode Dynamics assembles and engineers its products in the United States, utilizing the newest and brightest LED technology. Snap-on covers are also available separately for states requiring them or for added protection.
