The CTS Turbo Direct Fit FMIC Kit is engineered as a drop-in replacement for the OEM front-mounted intercooler (FMIC) in Audi Mk2 TT and TTS 2.0T vehicles. This design eliminates the need for any trimming or modification of the bumper during installation, utilizing factory mounting points. While the stock FMIC is sufficient for factory boost levels, it struggles to manage charged air temperatures when boost is increased via ECU upgrades. Elevated charge air temperatures can lead to detrimental effects like boost cut and timing pull, ultimately reducing the vehicle's power output. The CTS Direct Fit FMIC addresses this by employing a high-efficiency bar and plate intercooler core.
