Description

The CTS Turbo Direct Fit FMIC Kit is engineered as a direct replacement for the OEM front-mounted intercooler (FMIC) on EA113 and EA888.1 2.0T engines. While the stock FMIC is sufficient for factory boost levels, it can struggle with increased boost from ECU upgrades, leading to power loss and timing pull. The CTS kit utilizes a high-efficiency bar and plate intercooler core, which significantly reduces pressure drop. This allows the turbocharger to operate more efficiently, extending its lifespan and ensuring cooler, denser charge air for increased power output. Product details include efficient bar and plate construction, a direct bolt-in installation, and 4-ply silicone hoses with a billet adapter. The core dimensions are 23.00″ x 16.5″ x 2.00″, with cast aluminum end tanks designed for durability. Installation instructions are available on the CTS Turbo website. This intercooler kit is compatible with a range of Volkswagen and Audi models, including the 2006-2014 Volkswagen GTI 2.0T, 2012-2013 Volkswagen Golf R 2.0T, 2006-2013 Volkswagen Jetta GLI 2.0T (EA888.1 only), 2007-2016 Volkswagen EOS 2.0T, 2006-2010 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T, 2009-2017 Volkswagen CC 2.0T, 2012-2013 Volkswagen Beetle 2.0T (EA888.1 only), 2009-2018 Volkswagen Tiguan (FWD only), 2006-2013 Audi A3 2.0T, 2008-2015 Audi TT 2.0T (vehicles with Gen2 valve-lift engine require specific parts), and 2006-2013 Audi TTS. Note that 4motion AWD Tiguan models require custom hoses.
