The VDO SE10001HP is a multi-application TPMS sensor designed for straightforward installation and reliable tire pressure monitoring. This "REDI-Sensor" is pre-programmed, simplifying the replacement process, though an OE relearn procedure will be required after installation to sync with your vehicle's computer. It operates on a 315 MHz frequency, commonly used for many domestic and Asian vehicles. The kit is comprehensive, including a gasket or seal, grommets, washers, a valve cap, and all necessary mounting hardware. The pivoting metal valve stem facilitates easier installation and accommodates various wheel rim profiles, and is rated for speeds up to 155 mph. Installation of this sensor requires a "relearn" procedure after mounting to integrate the new sensor ID with your vehicle's Tire Pressure Monitoring System. While no initial programming or cloning is needed for this specific sensor, a TPMS tool may be necessary to write the sensor IDs to the vehicle's computer and assign them to the correct wheel positions if your vehicle displays pressure by location. The sensor is not compatible with vehicles operating within the EU, which use a 433 MHz frequency. It comes with a 12-month warranty.
