The EXEDY Sports Series, featuring the Ultra Fiber Clutch Set, is ideal for motorsport use, incorporating friction material with high heat resistance properties and high-strength fibers. This makes it an ideal clutch for street, circuit, or drifting. The clutch covers are designed to achieve a clamping load 40% higher than genuine parts, enabling higher torque transmitting capacity. Ductile material is used for all pressure plates, and high burst strength can be achieved in all temperature ranges. The "Ultra Fiber" asbestos-free material retains a high friction coefficient after being subjected to motorsport conditions and, unlike competitors' materials, will recover after a cooling-down period if "fade" is experienced. Modifications to the friction material composite, specifically the copper weave, increase heat-resistance characteristics and burst strength. This eliminates the need to reinforce the friction material with steel plate. The "Ultra Fiber" friction material also has a stable wear rate over a wide temperature range, addressing issues with conventional organic friction materials under heavy use.
