Description

The Performance Online disc brake conversion kit is designed to upgrade 1947-59 Chevy and GMC 3600 and 3800 trucks from their original straight axle brakes to a modern disc setup while retaining the classic 8-lug bolt pattern. The kit eliminates the need to reuse old original hubs by providing a complete set of new components, including a roller taper bearing conversion for improved reliability. Key specifications include 12-inch drilled, slotted, and zinc-coated rotors paired with powder-coated calipers available in red or black, and durable stainless steel brake hoses. Installation adds approximately one inch of width per side to the front track. Please note specific wheel fitment requirements: this kit will not work with 15-inch stock-type wheels unless they are modified for disc brake clearance. The system is compatible with 16-inch artillery wheels without modification.
