Description

This friction slows the wheels. Over time, the friction material wears down, reducing the pads' ability to dissipate heat and increasing stopping distances. If left unchecked, worn pads can damage the rotors and impair wheel rotation. Signs of worn pads include squealing, grinding, a soft brake pedal, and decreased responsiveness. It is recommended to inspect brake pads every six months or during tire rotations and replace them when the friction material is worn to 3mm or less.
