Description

The Bosch 03001 is a distributor cap designed to distribute voltage from the ignition distributor to the spark plugs for engine combustion. It features electrical contacts that isolate and route voltage independently to each spark plug wire. The cap also protects the internal components of the ignition distributor from dirt and debris. Distributor cap contacts wear down over time due to electrical transfer and the plastic can become brittle from engine heat, necessitating regular replacement as part of routine maintenance.
