Overview

This Pertronix Flame Thrower HEI-EST Distributor is designed for Chevrolet Small Block and Big Block engines. It features a new lightweight aluminum alloy housing, aligned and honed high-quality bronze sintered bushings, and a centerless ground corrosion-resistant shaft. The distributor gear is precision-ground for a tighter mesh with the camshaft. It includes a high dielectric strength cap with brass terminals and a low resistance center coil brush. A balanced rotor reduces vibrations at high RPMs. This distributor incorporates a high energy module that prevents misfires beyond 7500 RPM, producing 67% more energy and a 45% faster spark breakdown time compared to stock HEI units. It meets stringent automobile susceptibility, vibration, and shock requirements and is legal in all 50 states and Canada (C.A.R.B. E.O. #D-57-23).
