The DarkmatterX DM-1 Shifter is a premium shifting assembly meticulously engineered to replace the entire OEM system in 2008-2021 Subaru STI models. Constructed with a focus on stability and precision, the DM-1 features a robust, chassis-mounted design that bolts directly into the vehicle using existing mounting points, requiring zero modifications. The billet aluminum centering mechanism, equipped with twin detents and a firm ceramic-coated torsion spring, ensures perfect gear engagement and eliminates missed shifts. Furthermore, the shifter offers tool-free adjustment for shift knob height, allowing over an inch of variation by simply twisting the leather boot collar. Key features include a cable-free reverse lockout system that integrates the 5th/6th gear shift stop with the reverse lockout, enhancing feedback and eliminating the need for an OEM reverse lockout cable. The 1st and 2nd gear shift stops are designed for unmatched rigidity and a firm feel. Installation is straightforward, requiring no specialty tools. The DM-1 is also compatible with OEM shift knobs, allowing you to retain your preferred aesthetic.
