The Darkmatterx DM-2 Ultimate Shifter Kit offers the world's finest shifting experience for your 2022-2025 Subaru WRX, featuring patented shifting technology. Handcrafted in the USA, this linkage-based system replaces the entire OEM shifter, converting it from a cable to a linkage setup for razor-sharp, mechanical shifts and a direct connection to your WRX. The DM-2 boasts a robust steel linkage with 3-piece rod ends to eliminate cable slop, ensuring lightning-fast shifts. Its billet aluminum centering mechanism with twin detents and a torsion spring guarantees perfect gear engagement and prevents missed shifts. The shifter also features tool-free shift height adjustment, allowing you to tailor the knob height by twisting the boot collar. The integrated cable-free reverse lockout combines with the 5th & 6th gear shift stop for precise feedback and a smaller footprint. The 1st/2nd gear shift stop is also easier to adjust and integrated into the shifter housing for increased rigidity and space savings. Installation is straightforward, bolting directly into the vehicle without modifications or specialty tools. The DM-2 Shifter Box is constructed from Carbon Fiber Nylon with foam and rubber seals to minimize road noise and heat transfer. The included DM-2 Short Throw Shift Plate is CNC-machined from billet stainless steel for durability and bolts directly to the shifter, eliminating rattling. The kit also comes with an Alcantara Shift Boot. Every shifter is hand-assembled and tested by DARKMATTERX to ensure the highest quality control. The DM-2 is compatible with the factory shift knob thread specs, allowing the use of most Subaru-compatible shift knobs. Additionally, it is compatible with the DARKMATTERX Billet Shift Trim Kit (2022-2025 WRX) due to a revision in the linkage design.
