do88 Intercooler Kit

The do88 Performance intercooler is engineered as a direct replacement for the stock intercooler in Saab 9-3 1.8t, 2.0t, and Aero models manufactured between 2003 and 2012. The unit boasts a cell package volume 86% larger than the original and achieves 63% higher airflow at a 0.15 bar pressure drop, resulting in an 18°C lower outlet temperature. Constructed entirely from aluminum, this intercooler features CAD-designed, flow-optimized cast tanks and a carefully selected core to achieve the best possible cooling effect while maintaining minimal pressure drop. The original intercooler's plastic tanks may not withstand increased boost pressures from engine tuning, making the do88 aluminum intercooler a more robust and reliable solution. It comes with larger 2.5" (63mm) hose connections, replacing the stock 2.25" (57mm) fittings, which contributes to a significant flow improvement. Corresponding silicone hoses are included to replace the OEM ones. The manufacturer emphasizes that this intercooler is superior to many front-mounted intercooler (FMIC) installations, which often have limited cooling area and partially blocked airflow, potentially leading to worse performance than the stock unit. This high-performance intercooler is specifically designed for the Saab 9-3 1.8t, 2.0t, and Aero models from 2003 onwards with manual transmissions. Optional hoses in black or red are available.
