DOD/AFM Delete Kit

The Texas Speed & Performance DOD/AFM Delete Kit is designed to convert 5.3L GM engines from their factory Displacement on Demand (DOD) or Active Fuel Management (AFM) system to a more reliable and high-performance configuration. This kit provides all necessary components to address the common issues associated with the DOD system, such as lifter tick and potential failures. The kit includes 16 Delphi LS7-style lifters, GM MLS 5.3L/5.7L head gaskets, an LM7 5.3L single bolt camshaft (compatible with OEM valve springs and VVT systems), TSP OE style oil pan and exhaust gaskets, and an L92 valley cover without a PCV provision for truck/G8 applications. It also features LS2 lifter trays and an LS2 chain dampener, which is recommended for replacing the stock chain tensioner. Additionally, the kit provides a timing cover gasket, front crankshaft seal, and water pump gaskets for a complete installation. Installation of this kit requires a non-DOD camshaft. The manufacturer offers a warranty on Johnson or Comp lifters specifically, while other lifter brands included in the kit do not carry a manufacturer warranty.
