The Tristar Racing Products (TRP) 10-15 L99 DOD/AFM/VVT Delete Kit with TRP LS3 N/A Cam Kit is engineered to eliminate the factory Displacement On Demand (DOD), Active Fuel Management (AFM), and Variable Valve Timing (VVT) systems from your vehicle. This comprehensive kit is intended for those seeking to upgrade their L99 engine to an LS3 configuration and enhance horsepower. This kit is specifically designed for vehicles where the 8th digit of the VIN is 'Y', '2', or 'J', including Camaro, Caprice PPV, and G8 GT models. The DOD/VVT Delete Kit component includes a non-DOD valley cover (without PCV provision), your choice of lifters, GM LS lifter trays, TRP LS3 MLS head gaskets (with options to substitute LS9 gaskets), TRP 2004+ LS head bolt set, GM crank bolt, TRP MLS exhaust manifold gasket set, TRP valve cover gasket set, TRP timing chain dampener, ARP LS cam bolts, TRP water pump gaskets, TRP 58X 4-pole 3-bolt timing gear, TRP camshaft retainer thrust plate, GM timing chain cover with cam sensor, gasket and bolts, and a VVT to non-VVT adapter harness. The included Cam Kit provides your choice of TRP LS3 N/A camshafts, ranging from Stage 1 (218/230 duration, .629"/.621" lift, 113 LSA, works with stock converter) to Stage 4 (234/252 duration, .638"/.638" lift, 112 LSA, requires 3800+ stall converter). It also includes a TRP .660" dual valve spring kit with steel or titanium retainers and TRP 7.400" 5/16" .080" wall chromoly pushrods. Note that factory length 7.400" pushrods are incompatible with Johnson lifters; a pushrod length checker may be required if Johnson lifters are selected. Important considerations include: The Stage 4 camshaft option requires careful piston-to-valve clearance checking, especially if cylinder heads are milled, to avoid potential piston damage. Tuning is explicitly required after installation to ensure proper engine operation. Timing chain and oil pump are not included in this kit.
