The UMI Performance 2198 is a tunnel-mounted torque arm designed for optimal performance and use with UMI's tunnel-mounted torque arm mounts. It is constructed from 1.250" x 0.120" DOM seamless steel tubing with TIG-welded 4140 chrome moly tube adaptors for enhanced durability. The greaseable polyurethane bushings ensure prolonged bushing life, and the rear mounting plates are made from 0.375" thick mild steel for compatibility with stock, 12-bolt, and 9" rear-end housings.

The UMI Performance 2198 Tunnel Mounted Torque Arm is engineered for optimal performance and designed to integrate with UMI's tunnel-mounted torque arm mounts. This unit is constructed from robust 1.250" x 0.120" DOM seamless steel tubing, featuring TIG-welded 4140 chrome moly tube adaptors for superior durability and strength. The on-car adjuster, also built from heat-treated 4140 chrome moly steel, provides maximum strength and allows for precise adjustments. For longevity and ease of maintenance, all polyurethane bushings are greaseable. The rear mounting plates are fabricated from 0.375" thick mild steel, ensuring compatibility with a variety of rear-end housings, including stock, 12-bolt, and 9" configurations. The rear mounts incorporate solid ¾" rod eyes, secured with grade 8 hardware for a reliable connection. This torque arm is designed as a direct bolt-on with no modifications required for installation. It is proudly designed and manufactured in the USA, utilizing North American raw materials and finished with a durable, long-lasting powder coat. This UMI Performance 2198 Tunnel Mounted Torque Arm is specifically designed to fit the 1982-1992 GM F-Body platform, including the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models within those years.
