Dominator 1.5XT-R Turbocharger

The Blouch Dominator 1.5XT-R Ball Bearing Turbocharger is a performance upgrade designed to offer quicker spooling compared to larger turbos, while still providing significant horsepower gains. Originally developed for 2.0L customers, this turbo uses a custom, high-flow, low-inertia 56.5mm turbine wheel, a slight reduction from the larger Dom 2.5XT-R's 60mm turbine. This configuration balances improved responsiveness with a still-capable high-RPM horsepower output. At its core, the Dominator 1.5XT-R employs cutting-edge turbo technology. It features a Blouch billet, fully-machined, closed-die forged 49 lb/min XT-R compressor wheel with advanced aerodynamics. The custom compressor housing is machined in-house for optimal fitment, and it includes a water-cooled center housing with a state-of-the-art, low-inertia, low-friction ceramic ball bearing assembly. The unit comes with a Blouch custom 10cm² turbine housing, available in either 8cm or 10cm sizes, and an adjustable upgrade actuator. The turbo comes complete with a comprehensive installation kit, including turbo mounting gaskets, an oil feed restrictor, a braided stainless steel turbo oil feed line, an oil drain tube, coolant pipes, banjo bolts, and copper washers. Application details specify fitment for Subaru WRX models from 2002-2014 and Subaru WRX STI models from 2004-2021. Note that for 2008-2014 WRX models, an aftermarket Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) is required for installation. The manufacturer estimates a potential brake horsepower of 480 HP.
