The Motul DOT 5.1 brake fluid is a 100% synthetic, non-silicone-based fluid designed for anti-locking brake systems. It provides improved circulation in ABS micro-valves due to its low viscosity at cold temperatures.

This fluid features a dry boiling point of 272C (522F) and a wet boiling point of 187C (369F) for extended service life. It is neutral toward braking system seals and compatible with DOT 3 and DOT 4 systems.

The Motul DOT 5.1 brake fluid is a 100% synthetic, non-silicone-based hydraulic fluid specifically formulated for modern vehicles equipped with anti-locking brake systems (ABS). By offering a viscosity of 820 centipoises at -40C, it flows more easily through the complex micro-valves of ABS units compared to standard DOT 3 and DOT 4 fluids. Engineered for thermal stability, this fluid maintains a dry boiling point of 272C (522F) and a wet boiling point of 187C (369F), which supports a longer service interval. Regarding compatibility, this fluid is mixable with other DOT 3, DOT 4, and non-silicone-based DOT 5.1 products. However, it is not compatible with silicone-based fluids (DOT 5) or mineral-based fluids such as LHM. Do not mix with these incompatible types, as doing so may cause system failure or seal damage.
