This component is crucial for vehicles that have upgraded to a heavy-duty clutch or are subjected to frequent fast power-shifts. The original plastic quadrant can bend under stress, leading to inconsistent clutch engagement, missed shifts, and potentially damaging internal transmission components. A key feature of the Steeda "Double Hook" quadrant is its versatility. Unlike other quadrants that lock you into a single adjustment method, this patented design (US Patent 445,238) allows you to choose between using an adjustable clutch cable, a firewall-mounted cable adjuster, or a combination of both. This provides ultimate adjustment versatility, allowing for precise clutch engagement tuning. This kit is specifically designed for 1996-2004 Ford Mustang models with a 4.6L V8 engine. While the primary function is clutch adjustment, it's important to be aware of the general product warnings, including the California Proposition 65 warning regarding cancer and reproductive harm.
