DPF Delete Race Pipe

The SPELAB DPF Delete Race Pipe is engineered for 2017-2019 L5P 6.6L Duramax diesel trucks, including the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD. This downpipe-back exhaust system eliminates the restrictive factory Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), which can lead to improved fuel efficiency, reduced maintenance, and enhanced engine performance by allowing exhaust gases to flow more freely. The construction utilizes T-409 stainless steel with a 2mm thickness and features mandrel-bent tubing for optimal flow efficiency. Installation of the DPF delete pipe typically takes about 1 hour with basic hand tools and may require some cutting for certain vehicle configurations like shorter wheelbase trucks. The kit includes necessary clamps, hangers, and hardware, though some factory components may need to be reused. A crucial aspect of this modification is the tuning requirement; to prevent check engine lights or diagnostic trouble codes after removing the DPF and associated sensors, a DPF delete-compatible tuner is mandatory. SPELAB offers these tuning solutions. It is explicitly stated that this product will not fit the 3500/4500/5500 Cab & Chassis commercial style trucks. Additionally, the SPELAB 6.6L Duramax L5P DP-Back exhaust system must be used in conjunction with SPELAB's downpipe, as the factory downpipe has an integrated SCR assembly that prevents direct connection. The SPELAB downpipe must be installed first to ensure proper attachment of the subsequent exhaust section.
