The HPA Motorsports Performance Clutch Pack is engineered to significantly upgrade the torque handling capabilities of DQ250 DSG transmissions. This performance clutch is available in two stages: Stage 1 features a 6:7 disc configuration (6 friction discs for gears 4,5,6 and 7 for 1,2,3), designed to support up to 550 ft-lb of torque when paired with appropriate software. Stage 2 offers a 7:7 disc setup, with an increased number of friction discs in both upper and lower gear packs, providing a holding capacity of up to 600 ft-lb of torque with compatible software. Installation of this clutch pack requires careful attention to specific height measurements within the clutch cage. HPA Motorsports emphasizes that these clutches are typically made-to-order and necessitate the clutch basket core. They offer a core service to minimize vehicle downtime. Improper stack height can lead to incomplete engagement or release issues, which HPA addresses by creating custom shims for each unit to ensure precise stack height before reassembly, guaranteeing correct operation.
