The D.O.T. Drag Radial 2, with MPN 17327, is Hoosier's redesigned drag racing radial tire, developed for competitors in sanctioned events at local strips. These tires incorporate Hoosier's race-proven technology and compounds, making them an ideal choice for competition classes that mandate street-legal tires. Featuring a special tread compound molded into a slick tread design with five circumferentially oriented grooves, the tire starts with a molded tread depth of just 4/32", ready for competition after a proper scuff-in. The improved tread profile is designed to deliver optimal performance. Its internal structure includes symmetric nylon cord casing plies, reinforced by two lightweight belts and a spirally wrapped nylon reinforcement under the tread.
