Drag Race Series Camshaft

The Kelford 179-T2 camshaft is part of their Drag Race series, specifically engineered for extreme turbocharging applications. This camshaft is designed to support engines capable of producing over 1400 horsepower when paired with 75-86mm turbochargers. Its specifications make it ideal for methanol-fueled drag cars targeting sub-8-second elapsed times. Key specifications for the 179-T2 include an advertised intake duration of 318 degrees and an exhaust duration of 322 degrees. The valve lift measures 13.30mm for the intake and 12.60mm for the exhaust. At 0.1mm lift, the duration is 274 degrees for the intake and 270 degrees for the exhaust. For engines operating at higher RPMs, up to 11,000 RPM, the Kelford KVS79-EXTREME valve spring kit is required. Installation of Kelford camshafts should be performed by a qualified tradesperson. It is recommended to clean the high-performance camshafts prior to installation.
