Drift II 4-Point Harness System

The Takata Drift II "Bolt-On" 4-point harness is engineered for enhanced safety and a more secure driving experience in street cars. This system meets ECE-R 16.04 and FMVSS 209 standards, ensuring its legality as a primary restraint where mandatory seat belt laws are in effect. The harness features two-inch wide shoulder belts and two-inch wide lap belts, both equipped with comfort padding for extended use. The buckle is a convenient center push-button release. Installation is facilitated by the "Bolt-On" design, which generally utilizes the vehicle's existing factory mounting points for the front lap belts. The shoulder belts offer flexible mounting options: they can connect to rear "D" and "E" lap belt mounting points, or they can be wrapped directly around a roll cage or harness bar using the provided 3-bar adjusters. The lap belt brackets are integrated into the belts, while the shoulder belt brackets are removable for versatile mounting configurations. Important considerations for installation: The DRIFT belts are intended for use with seats that have shoulder harness pass-throughs, such as stock seats with adjustable headrests or racing seats with appropriate openings. They should not be used with seats featuring integrated headrests that would force the shoulder belts to route around the outside. Additionally, the rear passenger seats must not be occupied while the DRIFT belt is installed.
