The Planted seat bracket is a vehicle-specific adapter designed for installing an aftermarket seat on the driver side of 2015-2021 Subaru WRX/STI and 2013-2020 Subaru XV Crosstrek models. This bracket provides a secure mounting point for a wide variety of aftermarket seats and accessories.

The Planted seat bracket serves as a robust adapter between your vehicle's floor and an aftermarket seat. Because factory floor pans vary and are rarely flat, each bracket is engineered using a specific vehicle as a reference to ensure a precise, bolt-in fit. Constructed from 3/16-inch thick steel, the bracket is laser cut and hand-welded to provide superior strength and durability, then finished with a black powder coat. It also provides extra surface area for users who prefer to drill custom hole patterns or direct-mount seats and side mounts. Installation requires careful consideration regarding factory sensors. Replacing a stock seat may trigger warning lights due to airbag or weight sensor disconnects, which may require the use of electronic resistors to clear; the user is responsible for identifying and sourcing the correct resistor for their specific vehicle. Note that steering wheel offset may become more pronounced with aftermarket seats of different sizes than the original equipment. Professional installation is recommended.
