The Dana 706999-8X is a genuine Spicer ring and pinion gear set for Dana 70HD axles, designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications. This kit features a 4.88 gear ratio and includes both the ring and pinion gears, suitable for full-floating Dana 70 axles manufactured between 1979 and 1990. It is made in the USA and designed for rear axle applications. Key specifications include a 10.500-inch ring gear diameter with 39 teeth, an 8-tooth pinion gear with a 29-spline count and 1.750-inch shaft diameter, and a 4.56 and up carrier break.
