Driveshaft Center Support Bearing Carrier Upgrade

The JXB Performance Driveshaft Center Support Bearing Carrier Upgrade is engineered to replace the stock, pliable rubber carrier in Audi D5 A8, A8L, and S8 models (2019+). The OEM component, made of thin rubber, is prone to sagging and degradation over time, leading to improper driveshaft alignment, increased stress on joints, and noticeable slop in the driveline during acceleration and shifts. This upgraded carrier utilizes more solid bushings to keep the driveshaft firmly centered. By preventing the bearing from moving off-center, it ensures consistent torque delivery and maintains optimal driveshaft alignment under all driving conditions. This results in a more direct and predictable driveline response, with benefits reported by users including firmer shifts, more instantaneous launches, and smoother low-speed throttle application. The two-part carrier clamps directly onto the existing OEM bearing. While the original carrier must be removed using a cutting tool, the JXB design avoids interference with factory heat shields, ensuring no impact on exhaust clearance. The process involves accessing the carrier, removing heat shielding, cutting off the old carrier, and clamping the new one in place. Customers can select their preferred bushing stiffness: Street (softer, quieter) or Track (harder, louder). The Street bushings offer superior NVH absorption for daily driving, while Track bushings provide maximum stiffness for performance applications. A "Give me Both!" option is also available, allowing for a custom balance of performance and comfort.
