Driveshaft Center Support Bearing Carrier Upgrade

The OEM carrier's thin rubber layer can sag under load, compromising alignment and leading to slack during throttle application or shifts. Over time, this rubber degrades, causing further issues. This upgraded carrier utilizes more solid bushings that prevent the driveshaft bearing from moving off-center. This ensures consistent torque delivery and maintains proper driveshaft alignment under all conditions, resulting in a more direct and predictable driveline response. Benefits reported by customers include more direct throttle response, firmer shifts, and a reduction in vibrations caused by misalignment. The product is available with different bushing stiffness options: Street (softer, quieter) and Track (harder, louder). The Street bushings are recommended for most daily-driven vehicles to minimize NVH transmission to the cabin. The Track bushings offer a more solid feel but may transmit more noise and vibration. A "Give me Both!" option is also available, allowing users to mix and match or test different configurations. Installation does not require driveshaft removal. The two-part design clamps around the OEM bearing. However, the old carrier must be cut off, necessitating a cutting tool. The installation process involves removing braces, lowering the exhaust, and removing heat shielding before cutting the old carrier and clamping the new one in place. This carrier fits all W220 S-Class (1999-2006), W215 CL-Class (1999-2006), W216 CL-Class (2007-2014), W210 E-Class (1996-2002), W211 E-Class (2003-2009), and W219 CLS-Class (2004-2010) models.
