Driveshaft Center Support Bushing Set

The JXB Performance SUB03A0-S street driveshaft center support bearing carrier upgrade features bushings with a durometer specifically chosen for their ability to absorb drivetrain noise and vibration. While both street and track bushings are significantly stiffer than stock, the street variant offers a reduced chance of transmitting NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) to the cabin, making it ideal for daily drivers and vehicles not exclusively used for track or overland purposes. The OEM driveshaft bushing can degrade over time, becoming brittle and cracking, which leads to driveshaft misalignment and increased stress on joints. This sagging allows the driveshaft bearing to move off-center under load, causing driveline slack and unpredictable response. The JXB carrier upgrade, with its more solid bushings, ensures the bearing remains centered, maintaining optimal torque delivery and driveshaft alignment for a more direct and responsive driveline feel under all conditions. Installation of this 2-part carrier does not require driveshaft removal. However, the OEM carrier must be cut off, necessitating a cutting tool. The process involves removing any interfering braces or shields, potentially lowering the exhaust for access, and removing heat shielding around the center support bearing. The old carrier is cut off, and the new carrier then clamps around the remaining base layer of the OEM bearing. This specific street bushing set is compatible with the 1st gen Impreza (GM/GC/GF) from 1993-1999, 2nd gen Impreza models (GD/GG) from 2000-2007 (including WRX, WRX STi, and Outback Sport), and the Saab 9-2X.
