The BMR Suspension DSL017 is a driveshaft safety loop designed for 2011 and newer Ford Mustangs. Built from 1/4-inch laser-cut CNC-formed plate steel, it bolts directly to the factory transmission crossmember using OE mounting holes and supplied Grade 8 hardware. This design ensures a secure mount to contain the driveshaft in case of failure, preventing it from damaging the vehicle's floor or the track surface.

The BMR Suspension DSL017 Driveshaft Safety Loop is engineered to enhance safety and compliance for 2011 and newer Ford Mustangs, particularly those used for drag racing. It is constructed from durable 1/4-inch laser-cut, CNC-formed plate steel, ensuring robustness and reliability under stress. All necessary Grade 8 hardware is included, and the installation is estimated to take approximately one hour. This safety loop is crucial for meeting NHRA safety regulations. It is required for vehicles running quicker than 13.99 seconds in the quarter mile with sticky tires, and for those running quicker than 11.49 seconds with stock tires. The design ensures that if a driveshaft or transmission failure occurs, the loop will contain the driveshaft, preventing it from ripping through the vehicle's floor or digging into the track. Unlike some competitor products that attach to the transmission itself, the BMR DSL017 attaches to the more robust transmission crossmember. The DSL017 is suitable for street, drag race, and top-speed applications, offering peace of mind and critical protection. It features a revised design that is compatible with MGW Shifters and ARH exhaust systems.
