Overview

The BMR Suspension DSL020R is a front driveshaft safety loop designed to protect your 2007-2014 Shelby GT500 and comply with NHRA safety rules. If you drag race your GT500, this loop is often required to be NHRA legal.

Built from 1/4-inch laser-cut CNC-formed plate steel, it bolts onto the factory transmission crossmember using OE mounting holes. This provides a securely mounted loop that remains in place during a driveshaft or transmission failure. The design aims to contain a driveshaft, preventing it from damaging the vehicle's floor or digging into the track.

The BMR Suspension DSL020R is a front driveshaft safety loop engineered to enhance the safety of your 2007-2014 Shelby GT500, particularly for drag racing applications. This loop provides critical protection by containing a failing driveshaft, preventing it from causing extensive damage to the vehicle's floor or compromising track safety. Constructed from robust 1/4-inch laser-cut CNC-formed plate steel, the DSL020R features a durable red powdercoat finish for long-lasting aesthetics. Its bolt-on design utilizes the factory transmission crossmember's OE mounting holes, ensuring a straightforward installation with no fabrication required. The loop attaches directly to the crossmember with supplied Grade 8 hardware, offering a secure mount that is distinct from designs that attach solely to the transmission and could fail if the transmission itself fails. This driveshaft safety loop is suitable for street, drag race, and top-speed applications. It is considered essential insurance for protecting your investment and providing peace of mind.
