The Metco Motorsports MDL1900 is a driveshaft safety loop designed for 1970-1974 Mopar E-Body vehicles, including the Barracuda and Challenger. It is constructed from seamless 1/4-inch thick DOM steel with a 6.50-inch outer diameter and a 6.0-inch inner diameter to accommodate lowered vehicles and aftermarket driveshafts. The loop features laser-cut heavy-duty steel flanges and is precision-welded in a fixture. It comes powdercoated black and includes installation instructions and Grade 8 hardware.

The Metco Motorsports MDL1900 is a one-piece driveshaft safety loop specifically engineered for the 1970-1974 Mopar E-Body platform, encompassing models like the Barracuda and Challenger. This loop is crafted from robust, seamless 1/4-inch thick DOM steel, featuring a 6.50-inch outer diameter and a 6.0-inch inner diameter, designed to provide ample clearance for lowered vehicles and aftermarket driveshafts. The flanges are laser-cut from heavy-duty steel and the entire assembly is precision-welded within a fixture for consistent quality and strength. The finished product receives a durable black powdercoat. Each loop is packaged with detailed installation instructions and all necessary Grade 8 hardware for a secure and reliable setup. Installation involves mounting the loop to the floor pan within six inches of the front universal joint. This process requires the user to drill four new holes in the floor pan for the mounting bolts. Potential installation complexities may arise with aftermarket transmissions such as Tremec or Richmond. Additionally, some aftermarket exhaust systems, particularly those with an X-pipe positioned near the driveshaft loop location, could complicate the installation.
