The Genuine BMW Daytime Running Light Module (DRL) is an essential electronic control unit that ensures your vehicle's daytime running lights activate automatically when the engine is on. This enhances visibility in daylight conditions, making your car more noticeable to other drivers and thus improving overall safety. The module also manages power to the DRLs and can interface with other lighting systems, such as automatic headlight dimming. Symptoms indicating a failing DRL module include the daytime running lights not illuminating even when the engine is running, intermittent or flickering lights due to faulty operation, or a dashboard warning light signaling a lighting system malfunction. This module is made in Austria and meets Genuine BMW quality standards, ensuring it is the same as the part originally installed in your vehicle. It is designed to replace OE part number 63117214939.
