The PRL Motorsports Drop-In Cone Filter offers a straightforward upgrade for the airflow system in late-model Ford Ranger and Ford Bronco vehicles equipped with the 2.3L and 2.7L EcoBoost engines. This filter is designed as a direct replacement for the OEM air filter and installs easily into the factory airbox without requiring any modifications. By working with the factory airbox, it preserves the existing heat shielding and water resistance. Constructed with performance and longevity in mind, the filter utilizes oiled, double-layer woven cotton filtration media, reinforced by a stainless-steel support mesh. A molded flexible rubber base ensures an airtight seal within the airbox, preventing any air from bypassing the filtration element. A custom end cap adds structural integrity, especially under demanding airflow conditions. This enhanced airflow helps the turbocharged EcoBoost engines breathe more freely, contributing to improved performance without adding complexity to the intake system.
