The GrimmSpeed DRY-CON Panel Filter is engineered as a direct OE replacement for the stock airbox, offering a simple yet effective way to increase power and airflow in your Subaru. Utilizing a unique dry-construction media with two layers of synthetic material, the DRY-CON filter achieves 62% better flow than OEM while maintaining 99.1% filtration efficiency, ensuring your engine remains protected. This design offers similar flow capabilities to oiled filters but with the added benefit of easier maintenance, as it does not require re-oiling. The filter also boasts a long service life, with intervals of up to 20,000 miles, and is serviceable and reusable with popular cleaning kits. Extensive laboratory and dyno testing were conducted to validate the performance gains. The filter was found to provide an increase of up to +9 lb-ft of torque and +6 wheel horsepower (WHP) from 5400 RPM to redline on a 2020 factory-tuned STI. This performance increase is attributed to the reduced restriction in the top end of the RPM range. This panel filter is designed for a wide range of Subaru models including the 2008-2021 WRX, 2008-2018 STI, 2009-2018 Forester, 2013-2017 Crosstrek, and 2005-2017 Legacy and Outback models. It is proudly made in the USA and comes with a 1-year warranty.
