The Darton 300-030 Dry Sleeves Kit is engineered to reinforce Subaru EJ22 engine blocks, providing enhanced strength and superior cooling capabilities. These sleeves are crafted from bulletproof Darton ductile iron, boasting a 130,000-psi tensile strength. The MID™ (Modular Integrated Deck) design, combined with "Swirl Coolant Technology™", actively manages and enhances water flow around the upper cylinder walls and flange area, significantly improving heat transfer and dissipating hot spots. This technology helps prevent detonation and engine failure associated with high heat in the combustion chamber. The kit provides "wet sleeve" replaceability and can be installed by a local machine shop. The sleeves feature a phosphate coating on their exterior surface, offering optimal corrosion and rust resistance against turbulent coolant flow and extending the lifespan of the O-rings. This feature ensures superior oil and compression control, leading to improved cylinder sealing and reduced ring wear for both street and strip applications.
