Dry Sump Oil Pan System

This system is compatible with LS wet sump or LS7 dry sump engines, provided they utilize an LS2/LS3 front cover and an OEM pan gasket. It replaces the stock internal gerotor oil pump with an integrated 3-stage dry sump oil pump located on the oil pan, significantly improving oiling system performance and reliability. This system is built to NASCAR specifications and is available through Robert Yates Racing Engines. Basic system components include the dry sump oil pump, the dry sump oil pan (P/N: 20-02-0666-ASSY), two HTD drive belts, and an HTD pump pulley assembly. Optional components such as an oil feed fitting for the OEM LS engine block and an ATI Y-Body or F-body damper with an HTD drive hub are also available. Installation considerations include the potential need to relocate or remove the OEM A/C compressor. If installing on an LS7 OEM dry sump engine, the front cover and timing set must be converted to the LS2/LS3 wet sump style. Furthermore, any additional scavenge sections or an air/oil separator will not fit with the OEM motor mount. 4-Stage pump options, designed for turbo scavenge needs, are also incompatible with the OEM motor mount.
