DSD Coilover Suspension Kit

The V8 Roadsters DSD coilover system is engineered for NA and NB Miatas (1990-2005), offering a balance of tight handling and a cushioned ride suitable for both street driving and track use. Developed over three years of track and street testing, this coilover system allows for precise tuning to optimize performance. Constructed with fully threaded aluminum bodies and a mono-tube design, the DSD coilovers feature 30-way adjustable valving that controls both rebound and compression simultaneously. A key design element is the full-length adjustment system, which separates ride height and spring preload adjustments, enabling quick setup changes and corner weighting without altering spring preload. Damping can be easily adjusted via the top of the shock, with recommended settings ranging from 8/5 for street use to 15/12 for track conditions. The standard configuration includes 10K front (560 lbs) and 7K rear (392 lbs) springs, made from SAE9254 high-strength steel. For those seeking a softer ride and occasional track use, 8K front/5K rear rates are available, while dedicated track use and larger wheel/tire combinations may benefit from 12K front/7K rear rates. The coilovers utilize aluminum upper mounts with rubber isolation to minimize Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NHV), along with NOK oil seals and 20w race series oil. Bump stops and dust boots are included to protect the internal components. The system is supported by an 18-month warranty.
