Its primary function is to prevent transmission fluid from being expelled and causing messes in the engine bay. Beyond its functional benefits, this catch can enhances the visual appeal of your MQB's engine bay by replacing unsightly oil stains with a clean, billet aluminum component. The body of the catch can is meticulously CNC milled from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and finished with a durable, stealthy black anodization. Internally, a stainless steel baffle plate is integrated to effectively prevent any transmission oil from escaping the system. The mounting brackets are powder-coated for corrosion resistance and an improved aesthetic. Installation is straightforward, as the DSG Catch Can utilizes the vehicle's stock mounting points, eliminating the need for drilling or cutting. It replaces the OEM plastic vent hose with an 8mm I.D. silicone vent hose, while retaining the original connector at the transmission.
