DSG Gearbox Oil Cooler

The Racingline DSG Gearbox Oil Cooler is an essential upgrade for hard-driven MQB and MQB Evo 2.0 TSI vehicles, particularly those running high power levels or in hot climates. When the factory DSG oil/water cooler is overwhelmed, oil temperatures rise, causing the oil to thin and degrade its lubrication properties. This triggers the DSG's self-protection mode, resulting in reduced engine torque, slower shifts, and eventual loss of gear selection. The RacingLine kit addresses this by adding a thermostatically controlled, front-mounted air/oil cooler. This system supplements the factory cooling, reducing oil temperatures by approximately 15-20 degrees Celsius. Featuring a high-efficiency 10-row stacked plate design, the cooler efficiently dissipates heat as air moves across its aluminum plates. The kit includes 210 series braided hoses with a durable nylon braid and stainless steel inner weave for resilience. Temperature control is managed by a unique adapter block with an internal thermostatic valve that activates the cooler only when oil temperatures reach 82°C (180°F). The cooler's front-mount location is optimized for airflow, ensuring efficient heat dissipation. Precision-machined billet components and the latest 5-axis CNC machines ensure accuracy and reliability. The kit also includes a replacement factory-spec oil/water cooler with a lower profile for easier fitment without impacting the battery tray above. This cooler is compatible with Audi A3, S3 (8Y 2022-2024), VW Arteon (2019-2023), Golf/GTI Mk7 (2015-2017), Golf/GTI Mk7.5 (2018-2021), Mk7 GLI (2019-2021), Mk7 Golf R (2015-2017), Mk7.5 GLI (2022-2024), Mk7.5 Golf R (2018-2021), Mk7.75 GLI (2025+), Tiguan 2 (2012-2017) models equipped with the DQ381 7-speed transmission and 2.0T engine. It also fits some TDi and 1.8T/1.4T variants of the Mk7/Mk7.5 Golf, as well as 4Motion and FWD configurations.
