DSG Performance Clutch Pack Stage 1

The HPA Motorsports DSG Performance Clutch Pack represents a significant upgrade for enthusiasts seeking to push their VW/Audi DSG transmissions beyond factory limitations. To achieve greater holding capacity, HPA has engineered this clutch pack with two key improvements. First, a superior friction material has been developed to offer enhanced 'bite' compared to the stock material. Second, the number of friction discs within the clutch pack is increased. The factory clutch utilizes a 5:6 configuration (5 friction plates for upper gears, 6 for lower gears), whereas this Stage 1 kit features a 6:7 disc setup, adding one friction disc to each pack. This enhanced design results in a substantial increase in torque handling. The Stage 1 clutch pack is capable of holding up to 550 ft-lbs of torque for the DQ250 transmission and up to 630 ft-lbs for the DQ381 transmission, provided the vehicle is also equipped with the appropriate performance software.
