This 950HP 3.5" Heavy Duty aluminum driveshaft is designed for Mitsubishi Eclipse and Talon AWD (1G/2G DSM platforms). It replaces the first two shafts of the factory 3-piece system. Constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum with a 3.5" diameter, it includes a custom 7075-T6 aluminum plate to convert the CV joint to a u-joint style end, bolting to the factory rear shaft section. This upgrade reduces weight by 40%, as the factory's first two pieces weigh 22 lbs, while this single aluminum shaft weighs only 12 lbs. The aluminum shaft also provides more torsional flexibility than the shorter steel shaft, protecting the drivetrain from shock during launches. Rated for 950 horsepower, it comes with all necessary hardware for installation.
