DTC-60 Racing Brake Pads

The Hawk HB418G.646 brake pads feature the DTC-60 race compound, engineered to handle extremely high deceleration rates and increased downforce. These pads are known for their excellent modulation and release characteristics, providing superior control and stability. Designed for demanding racing environments, the DTC-60 compound offers high torque while maintaining very low pad and rotor wear, ensuring longevity even under intense use. They are suitable for a wide range of motorsports, including NASCAR, ARCA, Super Late Models, and various open-wheel and sports car series. The operating temperature range for these pads is 400-1600 Deg F, with an optimal temperature range of 600-1200 Deg F. These race-specific brake pads should not be driven on the street. They are recommended for experienced racers who require a compound that can withstand extreme conditions without compromising performance. Hawk recommends pairing DTC-60 pads with DTC-70 pads when split friction between axles is desired. In some applications, such as lighter cars like the Miata or S2000, DTC-60 may be used on the front with DTC-30 on the rear. For heavier vehicles like Corvettes, Mustangs, or Porsches, DTC-60 is often used on the rear with DTC-70 up front.
